Southern Chic Spatique, a start-up business located at 615 W. Main Street in the heart of Henderson, Tennessee and opened with the owner/manager and four tenants. Since then, there are six additional tenants, a total creation of eleven jobs in the past year.

Stacey Ingold, the owner, has created one of the most unique salons /spas in the nine county region. While customer service has been a keystone, the unique retail area of the salon brings in customers from miles around. Every fixture in the store is different and enables an exciting shopping experience. The retail space is creative, attractive, and profitable.

Stacey came to the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at Jackson State Community College for assistance with cash flow analysis. The revenue for year one was $285,000. The shop is on track to finish the year at more than $300,000.

Southern Chic Spatique has been recognized by this TSBDC as a Success Story and was the recipient of the SBA Rising Star Award and recognized as the Henderson County New Business of the Year. The business is also known in the community for taking part in many community activities and as a sponsor or host of both business and social events.

At Stacey’s request, the TSBDC will continue to meet with her and provide business counseling in QuickBooks, inventory control, marketing and monitoring the client’s sales to expense ratio.
