The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Southwest Tennessee Community College received the 2014 BENNY Award for Most Outstanding Business Development presented by the Black Business Association of Memphis (BBA).  The awards luncheon was held at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis with guest speaker Judge Glenda Hatchett from TV’s “Judge Hatchett” show.

The BENNY Awards recognize superior achievement in business by minority and women-owned businesses (M/WBEs) and by those agencies that support the growth of M/WBEs.  The TSBDC at Southwest Tennessee Community College was recognized for its high-level training and development services and one-on-one business counseling delivered to hundreds of M/WBEs in the Memphis area.
